Before you can join Virgin Atlantic Virtual you must read and agree to follow the rules.

General Requirements
  • The pilot must be in possession of a legal copy Flight Simulator 2004 or FSX.
  • The pilot must be over the age of 13. (No Exceptions)
  • The pilot must fly once every 30 days.
  • The pilot must have a basic level of written and spoken English.

Pilot Inactivity Policy
  • Pilots must be in ACTIVE status to request a Leave of Absence.
  • The pilot must have completed the required one flights for that month prior to the request.
  • Each pilot is limited to 3 LOAs per year. Each LOA must not exceed 60 days.
  • A Leave which is expected to be longer than 60 days will require removal from the roster.
  • When returning from LOA the pilot must submit a PIREP within fourteen (14) days of the end of their LOA to return to ACTIVE status. Failure to fly this flight and file a PIREP will result in suspension.
  • Extensions will not be granted beyond 180 days except on a case by case evaluation by the BoD.
  • If a pilot on LOA submits a PIREP during the LOA time frame, that pilot will be considered to have returned from LOA from that time forward and placed on ACTIVE status.
Flying Online
  • We do not require you to register or fly on the VATSIM or IVAO network.
  • The Pilot must show professionalism within the organization and when conducting Online Operations.

Pilot Reports
  • Time Acceleration is not permitted.
  • Pilot Reports with no logs will not be accepted.
  • If the ACARs software fails you must provide a vataware link to verify the Flight.
On Acceptance
  • You must file your first PIREP within fourteen (14) days of acceptance.
  • Read the Pilot Handbook and get familiar with our operating procedures.
